Day trip to Bran, Rasnov, Harman & Prejmer

One of our most popular, this escorted day tour will show you some of the most beautiful fortified churches from Transylvania: Prejmer and Harman fortified churches. Visit Bran Castle and the imposing Rasnov Fortress! This journey delivers history and natural beauty and combines all the must-see attractions of Brasov area.

The Teutonic Knights constructed the fortress Tartlau in 1212-1213 as part of their colonization of the Burzenland region. The town of Prejmer near the castle had begun development by 1225, and was the eastern-most settlement of the Transylvanian Saxons. Prejmer is noted for its fortified church, one of the best preserved of its kind in Eastern Europe and is UNESCO world heritage.

The church at Harman dates back to 1240. The history of the Harman fortress is linked to the presence of the Teutonic Knights in Barsa in the first decades of the thirteenth century, in Feldioara, Prejmer, Rasnov, and Sanpetru. The first document that names the settlement dates from March 21, 1240, 15 years after the expulsion of the Teutonic Knights from this territory.

Commonly known as "Draculas Castle", it is marketed as the home of the titular character in Bram Stokers Dracula and there are persistent myths that it was once the home of Vlad Tepes, ruler of Wallachia.
