Day 1. SIBIU: ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM- SIBIU OLD TOWN TOUR- TRANSFAGARASAN ROAD - BALEA WATERFALL - BALEA LAKE - CAPRA WATERFALL - SIBIU. 

Our English speaking guide collects you from Sibiu Airport. A city with an outstanding  atmosphere, one of the oldest settlements in Transylvania, dating back prior to the Roman period, Sibiu will surely impress you with its beautiful old architecture. We start to visit Transylvania "€“ the land of medieval castles, old cities and fortified churches by making a city tour of Sibiu - the European Capital of Culture in 2007. The Big Square, the Small Square, the Ursuline Church, The Franciscan Church, The staircase Tower, the Tanners Tower, the Lier"€™s Bridge , the House of the Butcher"€™s Guild and  Bruckenthal Museum are the most important sights.

 Next stop is at the Ethnographic Museum, also called The Village Museum "€“ an outdoor exhibition of peasant settlements from all over the country offering a complete picture on Romania"€™s rural architecture. We can expect a day of dramatic scenery changes when we drive through the ranch lands and head for Fagaras Mountains.We drive to Transfagarasan road, see Balea Waterfall and stop at one of the most beautiful glacial lake, Bale Lake, and drive through the longest tunnel in Romania to see Capra Waterfall. The landscape is fantastic, and the differences of altitude and the curves represent a challenge for both cars and drivers.

Day 2. SIBIU - SLIMNIC- MEDIAS - BIERTAN - SIGHISOARA. After breakfast we travel to Medias, with its beautiful old centre and its unique artist, a spider web painter, but not before we visit Slimnic Fortress (14th century). Our next stop is Biertan fortified church. This beautiful fortified church is on the top of a small hill that dominates the village. From Biertan we drive to Sighisoara, the only inhabited med ieval citadel in Europe.

Visit The Clock Tower and History Museum, Weapons Museum, The Torture Room, Covered stairs, Church on the Hill. Tip: in Sighisoara you can enjoy a special lunch in Casa Vlad Dracul Restaurant, the place where Vlad Dracul, the father of the one who bares the stigma of the bloody count Dracula, was born. Depart to Brasov, an important and impressive Saxon centre, where we have dinner with wine tasting and an excellent folk show in Carpathian Stag restaurant(subject on request). Overnight Brasov.

Day 3. BRASOV "€“ PELES CASTLE - BRAN CASTLE- RASNOV FORTRESS- BRASOV. Morning drive to Sinaia, the pearl of mountain resorts in Romania. Explore the main point of attraction, the royal Peles Castle, one of the best preserved and the most beautiful royal residences in Europe. Continue your journey with Transylvania"€™s symbol, Bran Castle. The edifice owes its fame both to its unique charm and to the myth Bram Stoker created around Dracula. In 1920, Queen Mary, the niece of Queen Victoria of Great Britain, turned the castle into a beautiful summer residence. The largest peasant fortification ever built in Eastern Europe is your next destination Rasnov Fortress was built in 1331, the Fortress had a defence role and it was a shelter for the inhabitants of Rasnov in case of enemy attacks. Your journey ends in medi eval Saxon city of Brasov. Accommodate in a centrally located 3* hotel. To better capture the Saxon atmosphere, you"€™ll enjoy a traditional Saxon dinner in one of the best restaurants in Brasov.

Day 4. BRASOV - SIBIU. After breakfast we make a short  tour of the magic old center of Brasov (2 hours). The city of Brasov is one of the oldest in Europe, dating from 1235. During the Middle Ages, Brasov was known as a powerful fortress surrounded by high stone walls and defended by bulwarks, towers and other small fortresses. The buildings and the streets in the historical centre still preserve a medieval note. Concil Square, Black Church, White and Black Towers, Rope street, Weaver"€™s Bastion, Schei Gate and Ecaterina"€™s Gate are the tour's highlights. Transfer to Sibiu.
